General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) - Privacy and Protection of Personal Data

By our regulations, we comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation. The Website of our Aesthetic Surgery Clinic DR. Dombard, only collects data provided by the user himself when making contact with the clinic through our online form. This data is not stored in a database and is only used in the context of an exchange of e-mails and / or telephone contacts. We may use this data to schedule an appointment at the clinic and for a patient’s medical record. Patient records are ideal instruments for quality and continuity of care. In accordance with the Belgian law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy with regard to the processing of personal data and, from 25 May 2018, to the European Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council of the European 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (General Data Protection Regulation), the users whose data have been collected for the creation of their medical records have the right to consult these data, to request their correction or, if necessary, their removal. Users can also object to the processing of their data. In particular, to cancel or cancel a consultation appointment. Article 6 (4) of the Royal Decree of 15 December 1987 implementing Articles 13 to 17 inclusive of the Hospitals Act, coordinated by the Royal Decree of 7 August, provides that the Chief Medical Officer must measures are taken to open a medical file for each patient, constituting part of the file, and to keep it at the clinic.

As stipulated in Article 46 of the Code of Medical Ethics we keep medical records for 30 years; if necessary, it is ensured that the destruction of the files takes place, the respect of the professional secrecy being assured. Before proceeding to the destruction of the medical files, we will ask the authorization of the general archivist or his delegates (the law of June 24, 1955 relating to the archives).

The clinic has set up a system for backing up medical data on various digital (back-up) and non-digital media, necessary to guarantee permanent availability of information and to fight effectively against any computer attack (digital attacks on computers) by malware type “Ransomware or ransomware”.
